Tate is a striking 60-pound dark red golden retriever with a rich, lustrous coat that reflects his vibrant personality. Hailing from field lines in Wyoming, Tate carries the legacy of hunting and working retrievers in his blood. His field coat is thinner, shorter, and easier to manage, making it perfect for his active lifestyle. Always eager for an adventure or challenge, Tate's boundless energy and sharp intelligence make him an exceptional companion. You will see that he was rated a Fair on his hips from OFA, which is a passing rating. When we have a dog that is rated Fair, we always look at his PennHIP scores to make sure that those are well below the breed average. In Tate's case his PennHIP score was 0.41/0.45 which is below the average golden retriever rating of 0.52.
